Wisdom for the Walk: Why James is Necessary

Having spent the summer doing apologetics (responding to classic objections to the faith), which was more philosophical and for those thinker in our church, this fall we are moving to something more practical: the book of James. James is pointed, practical, and pithy.

For many James has been one of the great books that have nourished their faith, yet oddly for others, it has been a controversial book. Martin Luther, the great reformer of the church, saw it as the "epistle of straw" because he misunderstood its practicality.

Here are going to unpack as an introduction to this book who wrote James and why his message matters today.
